In this two-day workshop, participants will learn a set of techniques to develop their drawing skills. Photographs of simple objects will be provided, and participants will be required to detail lighting and shadows.
This workshop will be led by Jesse Payne, an Associate Professor in the Art Foundation Department at VCUarts Qatar. Payne is an Artist in Residence alumni, attending the Fire Station programme from 2018 – 2019. His work consists of investigations of the self, influenced by the environment, people and experiences he encounters daily.
This workshop is part of the public programmes series in conjunction with the Majaz: Contemporary Art Qatar exhibition at Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art.
