Beya Othmani is an independent art curator and researcher from Algeria and Tunisia. She is currently the C-MAP Africa Fellow at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York, where she conducts research, plans programmes, and co-edits post, the museum’s online resource. Othmani has curated exhibitions for institutions such as Selma Feriani Gallery (2025), the Ford Foundation Gallery (2024), and the Ljubljana 35th Graphic Arts Biennial. She has also been part of curatorial teams for projects like sonsbeek20→24 and the 13th edition of the Biennale de l'Art Africain Contemporain Dak'Art. She previously worked as a curatorial assistant at SAVVY in Berlin. Her research encompasses various topics, including post-colonial exhibition histories in Africa and the Arabic-speaking world and contemporary art in Africa at the close of the 20th century.
Othmani’s writings have been published in Artforum, Hyperallergic, and ElaineAlain, as well as in exhibition catalogues like Arab Presences (Zamân Books, 2025) and Culturescapes, Sahara (Sternberg Press, 2023). She holds a B.A. from McGill University and an M.A. from the Weißensee Academy of Art Berlin.
