Lina Ramadan

Lina Ramadan is a Doha-born curator and writer specialising in modern and contemporary art, with research interests in post-colonial MENA, women artists, and solidarities. She holds a BA in English Literature from Qatar University (2014) and an MA in Museum Studies from UCL Qatar (2016). From 2016 to 2022, she was assistant curator at Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art, Doha. Her recent curatorial projects include Wafa al-Hamad: Sites of Imagination (2025) and Taysir Batniji: No Condition is Permanent (2022-23). As an assistant curator, she contributed to exhibitions like Kader Attia: On Silence (2021).

Ramadan has published works such as ’Moments of Return in the Work of Mohamed Bourouissa, Yto Barrada and Iman Issa’ in Avant-garde & Liberation (2024) and the foreword to Photography from Yemen (2024). She is a recipient of the 2024-25 Darat al Funun Fellowship and is pursuing a PhD at the Academy of Fine Arts, Vienna.
