Mohamed-Ali Berhouma

Mohamed-Ali Berhouma is an art historian and maître assistant in visual arts at the Institut Supérieur des Beaux-Arts de Nabeul, Université de Carthage. He is also the scientific director of the Médiathèque du 32Bis in Tunis, whose collection he conceived and has curated from the outset. His research reconstructs the sources of art history in Tunisia through a systematic survey of the press, exhibition catalogues, state acquisition records and public art commissions. He has written on modern and contemporary Tunisian artists and is preparing a habilitation on the writing of art history in Tunisia.
