We create methodologies and content that interpret and teach different histories about Arab modern art, by developing specialised learning programmes for all audiences. These programmes are designed to stimulate creativity, inquiry and an appreciation of modern and contemporary art in the region.
Our school programmes offer a wide range of learning activities from kindergarten to grade12, for both local Independent and International schools. Our programs with the new Ministry of Education and Higher Education Art Curriculum Standards.
Our monthly workshops provides a space for teachers and museums educators to work together for creative teaching and learning. You are invited to join us to share teaching strategies, explore object-based learning in the museum galleries, and develop curriculum together.
We develop programmes in collaboration with local and international universities. Our unique location in Education City makes it easily accessible to Qatar Foundation university staff and students.
Learning opportunities include Mathaf Voices, our 8-month internship, guided visits and partnership programmes.

Our family programmes encourage young children with their families to explore art through fun and age appropriate activities in the museum.
Storytime at Mathaf is our monthly activity for children aged 4-9 years and their families. You and your children can enjoy bilingual stories read in both English and Arabic. Explore the connections between art and storytelling by visiting Mathaf’s galleries, reading together, and taking part in hands-on learning activities. This programme is offered in partnership with Maktaba Children’s Library Project
